Find out and book onto our Deep Talk gathering with Tuula Valkonen in Sheffield, UK

The Conference Programme Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September

Tuula Valkonen and Kathryn Lord are delighted to invite you to a peer-led Deep Talk gathering. 

We will explore Deep Talk stories using a variety of methods and materials — on sand, cloth, and in the woods. Tuula Valkonen, the creator of Deep Talk, will share how Deep Talk is being used to explore our inner child. We hope that participants will share their experiences of using and adapting Deep Talk in different contexts. Contributions for workshops are warmly invited. The gathering will have a retreat feel.

For those who cannot be with us in Sheffield we have a two hour online gathering on Wednesday 17th June at 9am and 5pm UK time

Who is this for?
Storytellers who have some experience of, who use or have learned the Deep Talk principles and method. There is an opportunity to be mentored in Deep Talk principles before the gathering (see end of the booking form)

Timings on Monday 
Arrivals from 9:30am, with a start at 10am.
Finish 5pm 
There is the option of joining in with a meal and social time on Monday  evening.

Timings on Tuesday
Arrivals from 9:00am, with a start at 9:30am.
Finish 4:30pm 

Cost

Come for one day (lunch and refreshments included) £45 
Come for two days (lunch and refreshments included) £90
Come for the evening social on Monday, dinner and drinks £15   
If cost would prevent you from coming please pay as you can.

Participant fees will pay for the venues, the food and Tuula’s travel expenses. If there is any surplus Kathryn will be paid for her time to organise the events.

Accommodation
If you would like accommodation, Kathryn may be able to arrange this with friends in Sheffield for a suggested contribution of £40 for one night and £70 for two nights (to be paid directly to the host). 

Travelling to Whirlow Spirituality Centre and The Woodland Discovery Centre

From Sheffield train station it takes between 30 and 50 minutes to travel to both Whirlow and The Woodland Discovery Centre by bus (including short walks) . There is free car parking at both centres.
